Viglacera Strengthens Cooperation and Promotes Investment in Taiwan

by Viglacera IP / Thursday, 06 June 2024 / Published in Viglacera IP News

In the last week of May 2024, Viglacera Real Estate Company, in collaboration with the Vietnam Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, the Management Board of Industrial Parks in Bac Ninh Province, and consulting partners, organized an investment promotion seminar titled ” Investing in Vietnam: Unlocking Opportunities in the Global Shift” in the cities of Tainan and Kaohsiung. The series of events attracted the interest and participation of over 100 Taiwanese investors.

Amid the escalating US-China trade war, Taiwanese companies in the supply chain tend to establish a second production base outside Taiwan and China. Moreover, Vietnam has become a potential destination thanks to its young population structure, geographical location, and many favorable factors in site selection activities for investors. Additionally, Vietnam’s economy has shown steady growth in recent years. Even during the intense Covid-19 period, Vietnam remained one of the few countries worldwide to maintain positive growth.

On the other hand, Taiwan has been known as the leader of the semiconductor industry since the 1970s, with their chip manufacturing plants helping to stabilize the global electronics industry. Taiwanese investors in the semiconductor, high-tech, and electronics sectors are also the key group that Viglacera aims to attract to its upcoming green-smart industrial parks.

The series of events attracted over 100 businesses interested in participating

For this series of events, Viglacera chose to hold seminars in the industrial cities gathering the most advanced electronics, high-tech, and semiconductor businesses, namely Tainan and Kaohsiung in Taiwan. On May 29, 2024, within the framework of the seminar in Tainan, Viglacera Real Estate Company signed a memorandum of understanding on investment promotion cooperation with Xing Xiangfa Real Estate Company to enhance promotion activities in the Taiwanese market in 2024. The seminar featured the participation of Mr. Su Chen Kung, Head of the Tainan Science Park Management Board, and more than 70 interested businesses.

On May 30, 2024, in Kaohsiung, Viglacera, collaborating with with the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, held an event at the Daifa Industrial Park, the most dynamic industrial area in Kaohsiung. The program attracted attention from over 30 businesses operating in the industrial park with plans to expand production in Vietnam.

Viglacera Real Estate Company Introduced about Viglacera Industrial Parks

In the two seminars, many Taiwanese investors highly evaluated Viglacera’s capabilities as an industrial park developer with 25 years of experience. The industrial parks offer modern & synchronous technical and service infrastructure, meeting the stringent requirements of leading electronics, high-tech, and semiconductor corporations such as Samsung, Amkor, Qisda, Foxconn, and BYD. Additionally, businesses believe that now is a prime time to seize new, high-growth opportunities in Vietnam.

To date, Viglacera has developed 14 industrial parks in Vietnam and one economic zone in Central America, attracting $18 billion in FDI from over 400 domestic and international businesses, including more than 20 Taiwanese enterprises (with a total investment of over $400 million).

Viglacera’s industrial parks are strategically located across 9 provinces in Northern and Central Vietnam, providing investors with a diverse range of fully equipped, development-ready options to establish or expand their manufacturing operations. Currently, the industrial parks have clean land and fully synchronized, modern infrastructure, ready to welcome businesses to lease and set up factories. Also, Viglacera provides one-stop services, committing to accompany and support partners throughout the investment process until operations commence.
