Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has recently signed Decision No. 1438/QĐ-TTg dated November 20, 2024, approving the investment policy for the construction and operation of the Tran Yen Industrial Park (Phase 1) in Yen Bai Province, and has designated Viglacera as the investor for this industrial park.
Located in Bao Hung and Minh Quan communes, Tran Yen District, Yen Bai Province, the industrial park covers an area of 254.59 hectares. The project has a total investment capital of approximately 2.184 trillion VND, with the investor’s contribution amounting to 327.65 billion VND. This industrial park boasts a prime location and benefits from its proximity to Interchange no.12 (IC 12) of the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Highway.
Located less than 10 km from the administrative center of Yen Bai Province, Tran Yen Industrial Park benefits from its robust transportation network, which includes road, rail, and waterway access, facilitating seamless traveling and transportation across regions.
Tran Yen Industrial Park is less than 1 km from the interchange no.12 of the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Highway. Therefore, traveling from the industrial park to Noi Bai Airport is highly convenient, taking approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes via the Noi Bai – Lao Cai Highway, and reaching the Lao Cai International Border Gate in about 2 hours and 20 minutes. Additionally, the future construction of the Lào Cai – Hải Phòng high-speed railway will significantly improve the transportation of goods from Tran Yen to Hai Phong Port.
Masterplan of Tran Yen Industrial Park by Viglacera in Yen Bai Province
Currently, Yen Bai has three industrial parks included in the national industrial park system: the Southern Industrial Park (400 hectares), Minh Quân Industrial Park (112 hectares), and Âu Lâu Industrial Park (120 hectares).
As for Viglacera, the corporation owns over 4,000 hectares of industrial land. In 2024, Viglacera received approval for investment in two additional industrial parks: Sông Công 2 Industrial Park – Phase 2 (Thai Nguyen) and Doc Da Trang Industrial Park (Khanh Hoa). These two industrial parks have contributed to an increase of 584.24 hectares in the total area of Viglacera’s industrial parks.
One of Viglacera’s latest development orientations is to upgrade the quality of industrial park infrastructure in line with the trend of green and smart industrial parks, aligning with the government’s action programs for green growth in socio-economic development.
