The People’s Committee of Quang Ninh province has issued Decision No. 1112/QD-UBND approving the detailed planning at a scale of 1/500 for the Quang Ninh 1 Wind Power Plant project in Hoanh Bo ward and Thong Nhat commune.

According to the plan, the project has a research area of approximately 92.54 hectares, with a designed capacity of 200 MW, belonging to the group of large-scale renewable energy projects in Quang Ninh province. The system is expected to install 32 wind turbines, each with a capacity of approximately 6.25 MW, and a tower height of approximately 130 m. The plant is expected to achieve an electricity output of approximately 600 million kWh/year, with a capacity factor of approximately 35%, contributing to supplementing a clean and stable power source for the national power grid.
The approval of the planning and the early implementation of land clearance for the Quang Ninh 1 Wind Power Plant project not only opens opportunities to attract investment in the renewable energy sector, but also creates new growth momentum for the locality in the coming time. When the project is completed and put into operation, it will contribute to materialising the goal of reducing emissions and sustainable development in Quang Ninh.
