VIGLACERA BOOSTS INVESTMENT PROMOTION CONNECTING SOUTH KOREAN ENTERPRISES IN SEOUL

by Viglacera IP / Wednesday, 16 September 2026 / Published in News

South Korea is currently the largest foreign investor in Vietnam, with a cumulative registered capital of over USD 102 billion. After more than three decades of cooperation, South Korean enterprises have established a deep presence in Vietnam, particularly in manufacturing, electronics, high technology, and supporting industries.

Amid the expanding investment ties between the two nations, on September 15, 2026, Viglacera, in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in South Korea and partners, held two consecutive investment promotion events in Seoul, attracting approximately 65 South Korean business representatives.

Connecting South Korean Businesses with Investment Opportunities in Vietnam

Viglacera collaborated with the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK) and the Embassy of Vietnam in South Korea to organize the investment promotion seminar titled “Successful Investment in Vietnam,” attended by around 50 South Korean enterprises.

The seminar provided updated insights into Vietnam’s investment environment while introducing investment opportunities across Viglacera’s industrial park network.

During the event, South Korean businesses engaged in direct discussions regarding investment climate, project locations, industrial park infrastructure, and essential prerequisites for investing in Vietnam.

Speaking at the seminar, Ambassador of Vietnam to South Korea Vu Ho remarked that the value of an investment project today is measured not only by capital size, but also by the capacity to train engineers, transfer technology, conduct R&D activities, and enhance Vietnamese businesses’ participation in global supply chains.

Anticipating Semiconductor Investment Trends and Supply Chain Expansion

Following the morning session, on the afternoon of the same day, the Embassy of Vietnam in South Korea and Viglacera co-hosted a roundtable discussion on investment cooperation in the electronics and semiconductor sectors, attended by around 15 South Korean companies operating in related fields.

With a growing number of semiconductor companies eyeing Vietnam for production and supply chain expansion, Viglacera has proactively seized this trend by readying industrial parks capable of meeting high-tech project demands. Viglacera’s strategic focus drew strong interest and active discussion from attending South Korean enterprises.

At the roundtable, Viglacera presented its industrial park portfolio across Vietnam, highlighting key information on locations, infrastructure, and operational conditions. Leveraging extensive industrial infrastructure experience, Viglacera has prepared clean land along with comprehensive technical utilities such as power, water supply, and wastewater treatment. Additionally, a dedicated one-stop service department guides investors throughout the investment journey, meeting the stringent demands of the electronics and semiconductor sectors. The event also offered businesses an avenue to explore specific investment opportunities directly with representatives from Viglacera and the Embassy.

Bringing Vietnam’s Investment Opportunities Closer to South Korean Businesses

The two events in Seoul on September 15 build upon Viglacera’s ongoing investment promotion initiatives in South Korea over recent years, strengthening connections with the local business community and highlighting investment potential in Vietnam.

With a network of 18 industrial parks across Vietnam, Viglacera has attracted over USD 20 billion in high-quality FDI, including major South Korean conglomerates such as Samsung, Amkor, Hyosung, and POSCO Future M. This solid foundation of cooperation enables Viglacera to continue accompanying South Korean enterprises as they evaluate and execute new projects in Vietnam.
